Over the past few weeks I’ve had absolutely no time to socialise. With university being so demanding and hectic any time I had free in between lectures, interviews and doing work was spent eating, working out or sleeping, so it’s been great to finally have the chance to catch up with friends after not seeing most of them for months!
Last Friday I headed out into our local town for Black Friday. While this is seen to be a crazy day of shopping with countless deals and bargains to be had by many, where I live it is seen as the last Friday before Christmas where everyone goes out and parties. It’s an occasion I look forward to every Christmas, and this year was no exception. It also meant I finally had the chance to get dressed up after spending the majority of my time holed up in an underground classroom working on magazines and feature writing.
I wore this dress for my graduation back in July, but as it was hidden under a cape for most of the day I decided Black Friday was the perfect opportunity to drag it out of the wardrobe again. I can’t express how much I love this dress. It’s so comfy. The material is surprisingly rather stretchy, which means you can bust some moves on the dance floor without feeling like you’re wearing a straight jacket and can sit down with ease.
I also love the colour. It’s so bold and perfect for making a statement during the festive season. The lace floral detail, high neckline and longer length give it a classy finish in my opinion and teamed with a matching red lip and my new lace-up heels c/o Boohoo (which I am also in love with and are now ON SALE) we have the perfect Christmas party outfit.
What do you think of this look?
Lots of love,
