Lifestyle | Appreciate the little things

Beautiful Amroth at twilight.

Isn’t it funny how, as time goes by and you grow older, you change as a person? I feel like I have changed a lot in the year, and for the better I think. Before I would live for the weekends which would be spent going out and having one too many drinks with friends and spending the rest of  my weekend, and the best part of the week afterwards, recovering. But now, my priorities have completely changed.

I feel that since I started blogging two years ago (wow, I can’t believe it’s been that long!), I have grown so much and have started to look at life from a completely different perspective. For me now the perfect evening would be spent with my boyfriend taking my dogs down to the beach and taking lots of photos, before having a lovely meal and spending the night cwtched up in bed with a good old book. Call me a granny, but it’s the little things like this that really make me happy!

Daizy and Dan strolling on the beach.

I feel like I appreciate life so much more and live for the little things that make me smile. I love spending time with my family. I love the feeling of waking up and seeing the sun streaming through the window. I love getting in the car and travelling to the coast and taking in the gorgeous scenery and the sea air. I love seeing my little dogs faces when we pull up at the seafront and let them run wild! It’s quite funny how all these things I took for granted before.

People change, times change and you change. I think the best thing to do is absolutely embrace it and appreciate those little things that will always make you happy : )

Happiness.

Lots of love,

Jessie. xoxo

Isn't growing up SUCH a beautiful thing. This post really couldn't resonate with me any more, I'm exactly the same. I even sent back a pair of heels the other day because they were too high….my mum was checking my temperature to make sure I wasn't hallucinating! xx lacoconoire.com

I absolutely love this post and I couldn't agree more, it really is the little things in life that mean the most 🙂 I worry sometimes that I'm boring and not adventurous enough, but I just love curling up with a good book and spending time with my family and partner.Love Holly xwww.thehollydays4.blogspot.co.uk

I absolutely love this post Jessie! I'm exactly the same, I appreciate everything so much more now, the little things are what matter! I remember being younger and my parents going on about how beautiful the view was or how the sea looked with me being bored, and now I say exactly the same things they do! Lovely post as always xxemily x ❤ | emilyloula

What a lovely blogpost! You are absolutely right, now that I'm older I do appreciate the little things in life way more. When I was just a teenager, I had a lot of different priorities. I've changed in many ways but I'm so proud of it. I'm not really sure what shaped my change, maybe difficulties in life but to me I feel like it was destined to be. I also love your photography, very beautiful! Love, Layla Rosita | Travel Guide to Playa del Carmen, Mexico

This post is so relevant to me atm. I completely get where you're coming from. In a world where social media is at our fingertips, it's so easy to get lost in lusting after other people's lives that we forget to look around and see that we already have so much xDamzelInThisDress.com

Great post. I'm the same, I'm finally growing up and appreciating more chilled out things. Most of my friends still want to go out and get drunk so I still do that occasionally but we also meet up down the park with our children and they are the days that I enjoy the most. Ahh that sounds lovely, Leanne. My friends love going out drinking and I'm just so fed up of it now haha. Of course, I still go now and again but would much rather an evening walk down the beach. xx
