A few weeks ago I went on holiday to Majorca (see my oufit post here) and came back with two things – a wonderfully deep tan and a hideous load of blemishes on my face. I think the mixture of sun cream and heat caused my skin to go awol and I was so gutted to still have to wear foundation to cover up the blemishes despite being tanned. I decided there and then it was time to sort out my skin care regime, so the next time I wandered into Debenhams I took a look at the Estee Lauder counter and scouted through their skin care for something new to try.
But, why Estee Lauder? I hear you cry. Well, in the past I’ve used a few of Estee Lauder’s skin care and make up products and have always been impressed. Sure they are a little more expensive, but they are of fantastic quality, are long lasting and give amazing results, so I hoped that the product I bought for my skin would work in the same way.
I wanted a cleanser/make up remover as I am useless at removing my make-up properly and thought maybe that was part of the reason my skin had gone so terrible. I wanted something that was simple to use and that did the job quickly and efficiently.
I chose Estee Lauder’s Perfectly Clean Cleanser. It is described as a “triple action cleanser” which suited me perfectly. It removes make-up, cleanses the skin removing dirt from pores and also acts as a toner which helps to remove any dirt that the cleanser missed as well as removing dead skin cells and minimising pores. What I liked about this was that it did all of these things in one. I’m useless at removing my make-up anyway and didn’t want a regime that took hours, but with this bottle I could do all these quickly and in one go – fabulous!!
To use you have to shake the bottle and spray it onto the palm of your hand. It comes out in a mousse/foam substance and then you simply rub it onto your face before removing it with water. And that is it! How amazing is that? It’s quick and easy and does an amazing job of cleansing. After using my skin feels so refreshed and squeaky clean. It really does remove all make up (even mascara) and you hardly need to use any of it, something I’m glad about as it quite expensive.
Regarding my skin I’ve seen a huge improvement. I use this every evening without fail and go to bed with my face completely make up free, allowing my skin to breathe. The blemishes have almost disappeared – still the odd one here and there – but wow, what a change! I really cannot express how impressed I am with this product. It’s always nice to know that the products you spend a little extra on are worth the price. It costs £22 and is available online or in stores such as Debenhams and Boots.
Lots of love, Jessie. xoxo
